Liquid cooling systems sometimes leak. Although this is rare, it’s still best to take reasonable precautions to protect yourself in case a leak should happen.

The most important part in the computer case to protect from leaked coolant is the power supply. In Raymond’s case, the power supply is installed at the bottom of the case, which is exactly where dripping liquid would go.

To reduce the likelihood of leaked coolant entering the power supply, install the power supply with its vented side facing down towards the vent on the bottom of the case. And then install the cooler on the motherboard

You can determine the voltages provided to a power supply connector by looking at the colors of the wires on the connector.

When deciding which direction to turn the power supply, consider the design on the case, the other components that will be installed in the case, and the surface on which the computer will typically be located.
